Have I ever said that I hate the way my scans look? Because I fucking hate the way my scans look. I need a better scanner. I should be able to scan it in, crop it and post it, without any sort of contrast or brightening effect to muddy it up. Someone buy me a high-quality scanner with a large screen. There will be one less thing on my endless list of things I need, which is what we're all supposed to have so that we may feel the crushing weight of the race to live. And should we "win" this race, we get to feel the crushing weight of the boredom that is having no race to run any longer.
Cheer up, Jeff! The race is shorter than you think.
Anyway...um, yeah! This panel is probably the biggest departure yet because manages to say nothing about my day and also doesn't even have me in it, despite it maybe containing a version of my opinion. I may try to steer clear of this sort of thing in the future, since I set out to a daily auto-bio comic. I also may not steer clear of it. We'll see.
That being said, this panel does relate to some current frustration in my life, so it manages to be about me, no less. If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you probably saw me posting about this already today. If you don't know what this panel is about, here is a news story and an interview about it.

Ric O'Barry interviewed about hidden horrors of SeaWorld's
If I had my druthers, no one would ever go to SeaWorld, again. Sure, the animals look cool and it's fun to be close to them. I get that. I really do. But what's fun about it, for me, is the kinship that you feel with these creatures, and that's all taken away in the knowledge that they are not free, and in the knowledge that, when everyone else leaves, they stay there. Forever.
I swam with a family of dolphins in the wild for about three seconds, and those three seconds showed me just how wrong it is to hold these marine mammals captive. This was most clear in the brief flash of a moment that it took them to dive down, out of my sight. Forever. Free.
If I had my druthers, no one would ever go to SeaWorld, again.
