I may or may not have a lot to say in the way of elaborating on this, but I won't be doing it now.

For some reason, just before the film, I found myself saying, "Wait...is this a Wes Anderson film? This is a Wes Anderson film, right? Hmmm...I think it is. I'm not sure." It took about three or four seconds into the film before I said, "Yup, this is a Wes Anderson film."

It's a bit sad that, at thirty-one years old, I still don't have complete control over some of the more thoughtless things I can do.

It's weird, but working at Green, and especially the Thanksliving event, I really feel like I'm a part of something meaningful. I am a definite animal lover at heart, so it makes me happy to not have to serve meat any longer. Kinda cheesy, I know, but I'm super happy about it.

I've been scanning my panels in at 100 resolution prior to this panel and the last. I'm going to do a higher resolution from now on as, clearly, this looks much better.
I've done more work getting "Screw Jeff Owens Year One" put together, and it feels really good. I am, admittedly, dreading the inevitable revisions and fixed layouts, but I am, no less, quite excited about it.

I have now eaten two slices of the cheesecake, and it is the best vegan cheesecake I have ever had, hands down. I am quite proud to have had a hand in it, and even more proud that I'm dating the girl who did the majority of the work. We rule.

I wish I could use the excuse, "Man, I'm getting too old to be smoking weed," but I have been this sensitive to drugs since I was young. There were definitely times when I was twenty that I got way too high. I guess I need to get way too high once in a while to remind me why I'm not a gigantic stoner.

Hard to believe it's been seven months since Liz and I met. On the one hand, it seems like it was yesterday and, on the other, it seems like we've known one another a life time. No matter what the case, they've been a great seven months, and I'm looking forward to it having been even longer.

Darren Aronofsky is a pretty awesome film maker, whether it's writing or directing. Basically, I will see anything he has been involved with in any capacity, and it hasn't let me down, so far.

I should maybe try a bit harder to draw this good every day. Which will hopefully happen when I don't write about eight events in one day.
1046

Just like I said yesterday, some days just aren't that exciting to read about. And Satan's Monk has had so many practices mentioned, that I seem to be running out of Satan-related things to draw (which is a sad thing to admit to). You can only draw so much fire and so many pentagrams and sixes before you have to resort to drawing Satan in a bikini, and once you get to that point, you know it's gone a little too far. Sure, sometimes that can be a good thing, but it is, no less, too far.
1045

I realize my comic is probably boring a lot of times. It is certainly done in a bit of a journal fashion, and the things I do aren't always exciting to read about. Hell, sometimes they're not even exciting to do! (Not that the day represented in this panel wasn't fun, just that there are days that aren't.)
December 31st of this year will be the last day of Screw Jeff Owens' third year. I feel like this is a good time to initiate a little bit of change in the "direction" of it. The plan is to just focus on one event that happened in each day. I imagine I will, at times, mention more than one even, but the intention is to just do each day about one thing. Maybe on the blog here, I'll write about my day a little more, or maybe I won't, but I feel like I will enjoy it more and the reader will enjoy it more if the comic is structured this way.
Thanks for reading!!

We ended up getting a $25 gift certificate out of it. I guess maybe I'm a dick, but I emailed them when we got back. I was as nice as I could be, but really, they said 10-15 minutes and it was over 50, so I don't feel bad at all.

The sun is setting, not rising. This is because we left. Of course, since it's the west coast, the sun would have to be setting anyway. Whatever.
Keep your eyes on my photo blog if you want to see pictures of the trip, because I'll be posting them there over the next couple days.

We went on pretty much every ride we wanted to with the exception of Peter Pan, and maybe a couple of the other ones in Fantasyland. Liz's feet were killing her by the end of the night, and I felt terrible for dragging her along, but we both seemed to have had a phenomenal day, so I hope she feels it was worth it, and I hope her feet feel better.
The Haunted Mansion during the holidays just blew me away. They have it set up NBX style, and I wasn't expecting anywhere near the amount of work that must have gone into it. It's just a completely different ride. Here is a video someone shot, for those interested.

I have never stayed in a hotel room/suite as awesome as the one we stayed in at this Hyatt. It was easily far too big for two people, which we had no problem with.
Scoops has the best vegan ice cream of all time. If you have had it, you likely agree.

I find it somewhat humorous that I have to differentiate between the decades-old film, House, and the current television show, House.
I'll be back Sunday night, but I doubt I'll be posting any panels until some time on Monday. I wish the iPhone had a scanner!

I wish I were a master of many, many languages. Instead, I know a little bit of Spanish.
Two out of four days in November so far have drawings of Liz. Oh well. I'm pretty stoked to get the third year of SJO in the can and get a fresh start for year four!

If you haven't been to Chill, I suggest you rectify that.
I'm really happy right now. There is, instead of the demons that have been there most of my life, an angel in my bed. The demons are probably still lurking about, as I see shadows and hear things frequently enough to not discount them, but having an angel around makes it a lot easier to not be too concerned.

Well, that was a pretty satisfying way to end October, I think. This Halloween cover set thing has been talked about for years, but it just finally happened. Me being the critical bastard that I am, I wish we could have played twenty more songs, but it was seriously awesome anyway, and I'm pretty sure every single person there, except maybe one or two, had a really great time.
There were a bunch of awesome costumes. Peggy Bundy, William Foster, Marilyn Manson, Twiggy Ramirez, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and let's not forget the sexy molester. It was a great night, and I'm happy to have been a part of it. I'm even happier I got to be the Freddie Mercury to Liz's David Bowie. Success!
